My first job was as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General's Chambers. I liked it, fighting crime in Gotham City and putting bad guys in jail - my friends said that it was me fulfilling my fantasy to be a superhero. It didn't pay too badly either.
After four years as a prosecutor, the powers that be decided to make me a judicial officer in the Subordinate Courts. I spent ten years there, first as a Magistrate, then as a District Judge, but eventually the lure of litigation led me to return to prosecuting once again. I was also married for a while. Being single again wasn't easy, but having faith in God, the Universe and an incredible bunch of friends and colleagues helped. |
